Volunteer Requirements
Background Check & Training Requirements (Mandatory)
We love our volunteers at Greenbrook! Please review the following information regarding SRVUSD’s volunteer clearance process for the 2026–27 school year. SRVUSD continues to partner with Be A Mentor (BAM) to manage volunteer clearance.
What’s Required?
Beginning July 1, 2025, all volunteers must complete:

- A Livescan fingerprint background check (Fingerprint clearance remains valid throughout your child’s enrollment in SRVUSD.)
- Mandated Reporter Training (Completed annually)
- Sexual Harassment Prevention Training (Completed every two years)
- TB clearance requirements
Level 1: (School based volunteer and chaperone- NO DRIVING)
- Livescan background check (completed at least ONCE during child’s enrollment within SRVUSD).
- Annual Requirements: TB Test and Volunteer Training videos
Level 2 Volunteers: (Day field trip driver, and over night chaperone)
- Livescan background check is required- must be completed ONCE during child’s enrollment in SRVUSD.
- Annual Requirements: Mandatory trainings, current DMV record, driver’s license, and declaration page of insurance need to be updated.
We strongly encourage families to begin the process as early as possible to ensure volunteer clearance is completed before the school year begins.
New Volunteers
Beginning June 1, 2026, new volunteers may apply through BAM.

Volunteer clearance levels include:
- Level 1: Cleared for all school events and activities (no driving)
- Level 2: Cleared for all school events and activities, including driving
- Please note: Effective July 1, 2025, Level 3 volunteer status will transition to Level 2.
Fingerprinting Fees
Due to district budget changes, volunteers are responsible for paying Livescan fingerprinting fees directly to the provider of their choice.

- BAM processing fee: $25
- Livescan provider fees: Vary by location
A list of approved Livescan providers will be available through BAM.
